As the Assistant Instructor for a course, you’ll play a central role in supporting both the Lead Instructor and the students. You’ll help bring lessons to life by assisting with demonstrations, guiding students during hands-on practice, and ensuring classroom operations run smoothly. Your role is about more than instruction—it’s about encouragement, mentorship, and creating a positive learning environment. In addition, you’ll be prepared to step in and confidently lead the class whenever the Lead Instructor is absent, ensuring continuity and excellence in the student experience.

Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting Lead Instructors in delivering engaging and effective lessons in makeup, hair, esthetics, and/or nail technology.

• Being prepared to assume instructional responsibilities and maintain class flow if the Lead Instructor is unavailable.

• Assisting with demonstrations of techniques, ensuring students understand proper methods and industry standards.

• Providing one-on-one support to students during hands-on practice, offering guidance, feedback, and encouragement.

• Helping prepare lesson materials, tools, and products needed for classes and practical sessions.

• Supporting grading and evaluation processes, including reviewing assignments, practical skills, and attendance.

• Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the academy’s values of diversity and excellence.

• Staying current on beauty trends, products, and techniques to enrich classroom discussions and training.

• Modeling professionalism in appearance, communication, and customer service to inspire students.
