As the Lead Instructor for a course, you’ll play a central role in shaping the next generation of beauty professionals. You’ll be more than just a teacher—you’ll be a mentor, motivator, and role model who sets the tone for the classroom. From delivering expert instruction and guiding hands-on practice, creating and maintaining a professional and inspiring learning environment, to fostering creativity and discipline, you’ll ensure students leave confident, skilled, and industry-ready.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading instruction in your area of expertise and provide guidance in a positive, supportive teaching environment

  • Preparing for class with the Assistant Instructor by reviewing the lesson plan provided by the Academy

  • Mentoring and supporting students as they prepare for state licensure exams

  • Administering tests and determining classwork grades in accordance with the Academy rubric

  • Reporting student attendance, tardiness, incident, awards, progress, and classroom supplies via report template during weekly meetings to HR, Program Director, and President

  • Exhibiting a professional image at all times to internal and external clients

  • Adhering to all school policies, ensuring safe and sanitary practices for students and models

  • Must be fully available to teach in accordance with the program schedule

  • Are welcome to instruct multiple classes if qualified!

LEAD INSTRUCTOR JOB DESCRIPTION:

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH:

  • Senior License in field of expertise (Hair, Esthetics, and Nails)

  • At least 8 years of industry experience

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills

  • A professional image and reliability that sets the standard for student conduct, punctuality, and presentation

  • Leadership presence, you must demonstrate confidence, integrity, and strong work ethic

  • A genuine passion for teaching

  • Adaptability and comfort adjusting teaching methods to different learning styles

  • Patience and empathy to meet students at different levels with respect and encouragement

  • Commitment to student success

  • The creative ability to bring fresh approaches to lessons that inspire artistry

  • A team player mindset that collaborates well with other instructors and supports a positive school culture

COMPENSATION & PERKS:

  • PAID FLAT RATE PER CLASS (based on hours)

    • 40 Hours = $600

    • 60 Hours = $900

    • 80 Hours = $1,200

    • 100 Hours = $1,500

  • Not responsible for full curriculum delivery, only area(s) of expertise
